Trail information
This trail takes you through Poole Town, telling the story of Poole through the ages, from its maritime roots to the booming of industry. Discover its legacy of thriving merchants, bustling markets, and overseas trade.
This trail has on-the-street signage in six locations around the town that we recommend using as you explore. This digital trail has some extra information and extra historical resources, such as audio and video, to help bring Poole’s history to life. Please note that because of this extra information, the digital version of this trail has been split up into more sections.
Thank you to Poole Museum, Dani Dixon, and Ellie Fryer for their work on the content and artwork for this trail.
Route description and access information
